Middlefield Library Hosts Composting 101 Program!

Composting is nature’s way of recycling your kitchen and yard trash into a wealth of healthy soil! The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), the Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste District, and the Middlefield Library invite you to a free and informative program on the basics of composting. Join us on Tuesday, June 5th at 7:00 pm for COMPOSTING 101 at the Middlefield Library (16167 E High Street, Middlefield 44062). Learn composting basics and benefits, different composting methods, and how to avoid common composting problems. Participants will receive a kitchen compost pail while supplies last! Interested in purchasing a wishing well compost bin? Pre-purchased bins can be picked up at the workshop by mailing a check in the amount of $35 made payable to Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste District, 5138 Enterprise Blvd. Warren, Ohio 44481. Payment must be received by Friday, June 1st in order to be available for pickup at the Middlefield Library from 6:30-7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 5th.
