Michael “Mikey” J. Schustrich, Sr., 30, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born December 28, 1994, in Chardon, OH, to Robert and Barbara (nee Sheppard) Schustrich, Jr.
He was raised in Windham Twp., OH, and was a proud graduate of James A Garfield High School, belonging to the class of 2013. Mike was an employee of YESCO sign & Lighting service and the owner and operator of Shue’s Lighting. He met the love of his life, Ashley DeVenture, and they married on April 12, 2024. Mike and Ashley were blessed with their son, Michael J. Schustrich, Jr., this past April, who immediately became the pride and joy of their little family. In Mike’s spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and spending time with his family; but most of all, he loved spending quality time with his wife, son, and dog, Finn. He was a gentle soul who will forever be missed.
Mike leaves behind his wife, Ashley Schustrich; son, Michael J. Schustrich, Jr.; parents, Robert and Barbara Schustrich, Jr.; siblings, Melissa (Stephen) Benner, Robert (Summer Wilde) Schustrich, III; grandfather, Robert Schustrich, Sr.; several nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Shirley Sheppard, and his paternal grandmother, Joan Schustrich.
