TAG’s popular Trees at the Gallery Holiday Marketplace, which is celebrating its fifth year, continues now through Saturday, January 4, 2025,
This annual event features a curated walk-through marketplace with a variety of displays showcasing unique gift items handcrafted by 27 local artists including art, jewelry, seasonal and holiday décor and more. Additional items are on display and available for purchase in the TAG Gift Shop.
New this year, visitors to the gallery on two different Saturdays in December will have an opportunity to personally meet and talk with some of the artists included in this year’s event and also observe as some create additional items for their displays.
On Saturday, December 7, visitors can meet artists Brenda Armstrong, Dee Aston, Ron Krygowski, Stefani Triipoulas and Tulla Zambetis. Artists Alice Chow, Matt Colla, Denise DiLellio, Amanda and Zane Moriarty, Wendi Patrick and Lynne Provance will be at the gallery Saturday, December 14. And Patty Cleary-Talstein, artist and also curator of this year’s show, along with artists Veronique Gerard, Stephanie Sferra and Ralph Teets, will be greeting visitors both Saturdays.
Also new this year, in addition to TAG’s annual holiday tree raffle featuring a fully-decorated tree, visitors can also enter a second raffle to win a collection of handcrafted ornaments donated by each participating artist. And a third raffle features a TAG Gift Certificate that can be used to purchase an item in the Gift Shop or Gallery or used towards a TAG class. The drawings will take place Saturday, December 21 at 3:00 pm. Winners need not be present to win.
And again this year, TAG continues its “Angels for Art Education” fundraising campaign.
Admission to the event is free.
The Trumbull Art Gallery, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and was formed in 1957, is located at 158 North Park Avenue on Courthouse Square in downtown Warren and is open for the holiday season Wednesdays Noon-4:00 pm; Thursdays Noon-6:00 pm; Fridays Noon-4:00 pm; and Saturdays 11:00 am-4:00 pm through January 4, 2025.
