Maxine McCumber, 89, of Windham, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was born June 28, 1929 in Calhoun County, West Virginia to Peter and Mary (Metz) Helmick.
She loved to go camping, travel and work in her garden. Her favorite pasttime was spending time with her family, which she adored. And travelling some more.
Maxine will be dearly missed by her loving partner of 40 years, Sonny Moore; children, Linda (Ken) Janecek and Fran Bailey-McMahan; bonus children, Becky Donna, Janetta Ress, Howard (Robbin) Moore, Birdinia (Larry) Ress, Harry (Michelle) Moore, Pauline (Aaron) Reedy and Tammy Shepard; 29 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons Calvin and Michael Bailey and her 7 brothers and sisters.
The family would like to offer a special Thanks to Hospice of the Western Reserve for their wonderful care of Maxine.
Visitation was held on Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service for Maxine will be held on Thursday April 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Windham Township Cemetery.
