Mantua – The members of the Mantua Village Garden Club said their goodbyes to current president, Carol Fenrich, as she prepares to relocate to North Carolina, to be near her son and his family. Carol has lived in Mantua for 40 years and has been a member of the garden club for 30 years. She has served as president 3 times, and has opened up her home for many club meetings. One highlight during Carol’s term of presidency in 2009, was when the club was asked to be the Grand Marshall of the Potato Festival parade, in which Carol rode in a place of honor on the club’s float. Carol will be greatly missed by many.
On Monday, Nov. 4th, the MVGC will meet at R44 Coffee shop for a brief meeting and brown bag lunch at noon.
