Ever wonder how a local history museum is run? Take a “Behind the Scenes Look at Small Town Ohio History” and the Mantua Historical Society collections and see how objects are safely stored and identified. Visitors can enjoy a walk through the Mantua Center Historic District while listening to the live music of MOONSHADOW featuring Skip Schweitzer, Sarah Harvey, and Cal Craig from 10:30 to 12:30. Tour the Museum, Eastlawn Cemetery, and the grounds. Stroll by the Mantua Center Christian Church, the oldest Disciples of Christ congregation in the state. All of this is free and open to the public. *Accessibility: The Town Hall is not ADA accessible. The Museum is located upstairs with some activities located on the ground floor. Accessible bathrooms available on the grounds.
On the same day, you can visit the Civic Center where Author & Artist Dr. Robert Kroeger will present a Barn Talk, Painting Demo, and Art Auction. There will be vendors and delicious food. There is a $5.00/person donation at the door.
Does anyone know where we can get copies made of our DVD of old films of Mantua “A Bit of History?” We would like to sell them at our Open Doors Event. Contact Dottie Summerlin at 330-995-3840 or Kathy Hughes at 216-598-0718.
