Saturday, October 27th is “MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY” in Garrettsville!! Please come out between 8:00 a.m. -noon to help with the following two projects (Sunday, October 28th is the rain date):
1) Cleaning up garbage and dead branches along Eagle Creek, behind Main Street and along the Boardwalk, and
2) Cleaning out weeds and overgrown bushes at the Baptist Cemetery on Maple Ave.
The Village of Garrettsville Council, the YMCA and the Rotary have all partnered in obtaining a grant from the Ohio Commission on Service and Volunteerism to off-set the costs of supplies needed for the clean-up of Eagle Creek, while the Garrettsville Ladies Cemetery Association is heading up the clean-up of the Baptist Cemetery. Garbage bags, latex gloves, small tools and water will be provided for the volunteers.
