If you’re looking for salon services in Mantua, there’s a new, old option in the village. The new business is located in the historic Granary building. It’s an expansion of an existing business, Lulu Tru Holistic Salon & Spa in the square in Burton.

According to Brittany Meeks, the manager of the new Mantua salon, the choice to expand beyond the primary location in Burton, happened, in part because the Mantua community was so welcoming.

She noted that Lulu Tru owner Dawn Patterson considered Mantua a viable option based on recommendations from locals she knew. “Everyone was so welcoming,” Meeks noted. “And when she saw the space in the Old Granary Building, she was convinced that this was the perfect location for Lulu Tru.”

“The people in Mantua have been amazing,” Meeks noted. “Our new clients are wonderful,” she noted. She’s very grateful that several long-time clients followed her from her former salon on the west side, sharing that they’ve been very supportive and excited for her new adventure. Several have made the drive to Mantua and have fallen in love with the small town’s charm.

Lulu Tru uses specialty, non-toxic, healthy products including Innersense, Davine, and the Original & Mineral (O&M) color line. “There aren’t many places (locally) that offer these products,” Meeks noted. She shared that while her specialty is blonding, her LuLuTru staff includes five other beauty professionals whose areas of expertise cover a range of hair, skin, and nail specialties.

“We’re excited to be here,” she shared. “Give us a chance to help you care for your hair, skin, and nails.” Meeks and the team will be out in the community, meeting new neighbors and friends. In addition, they’ll be offering discounted hair color for services booked through January, and a ‘Bring a Friend’ special for pedicures and facials through the end of March. “Lulu Tru is here to stay!” Meeks shared.

LuLu Tru is now open in Mantua at 4690 East Prospect Street on Tuesday through Saturday. For more information or to book an appointment, call (440) 834-0887.
