Little Dresses for Africa

Hiram – Recently a group of women from Hiram Christian Church completed an outreach sewing project called “Little Dresses for Africa”.  These dresses were sent to girls in Africa living in orphanages, churches and schools. It is the belief that every girl should have a pretty dress.  With the help of a quilt group in Mantua we were able to complete and send well  over 100 dresses.

Pictured above from left to right are Mary Evans, Betty Schriver, Karen Hinkle, Nancy Lacan, Elizabeth Hendricks, and Roberta Zuver. Others who were involved in the project but not pictured were Jane Moody, Lucy Etling, Marcia Muster and Judy Parsons.
