Kent – Lieutenant Mike Lewis of the Kent Police is shown with a sampling of the books that the KPD is donating to a statewide Lions project, to Rick Fredrick of the Crestwood Lions and Kent Lions President Jeff Langstaff. The Lions of Ohio are collecting and assembling 2,000 children’s care packages to be given to children who are hospitalized. The Lions Clubs in our area have accepted the challenge to collect and provide the books for this project. If you would like to donate books for these children, please contact Rick Fredrick at 330-577-6098 or your local Lions Club. Donations may also be dropped off at the Kent Police Station. All books must be new and in good condition, since they will be given to children in hospitals.
