Leslie Dale Kiser, 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on May 22, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born April 8, 1955, in Richmond W. VA., Les was a long-time resident of Windham, Ohio for over 66 years and chose to raise his family in the community.
He was the son of the late Leslie Kiser and Jacqueline Crooks Kiser. A graduate of Ravenna High School, Les dedicated 43 years to Eaton Corp. (formerly Saint-Gobain), where he built lasting friendships.
Les was a fan of Cleveland sports but found far more joy in watching his sons coach basketball, baseball, and football and his grandchildren play sports-a reflection of the immense pride he had in his children and grandchildren’s endeavors and accomplishments.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Ellen, and his five children: Brian of Leavittsburg, Chad (Kim), and Jeff (Jessica) of Windham, Justin (Heather) of Warren, and Katie (Chris) Royer of Newton Falls. He also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Anthony (Margo) Lambis, Mackenzie Kiser, Madison (Jake) Amrein, Haylie (Rhen) McConaughey, Logan, Landen, Aiden, and Keegan Kiser and Adleigh Royer.
Les is also survived by his siblings: Bill (Beverly) Kiser, Jerry (Kim) Kiser, and sister Rosie (Ralph) Wadkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers James Mansfield and Robert “Woody” Held.
Les will be remembered for his quick wit, captivating storytelling, a mischievous smile, and unwavering love for his family. His humor, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 2-5 pm at the Windham American Legion. Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes.
