Leave a Legacy! Preserving Geauga County Farmland for Generations to Come

68

The Clean Ohio Local Agricultural Easement Purchase Program (LAEPP) helps landowners preserve farmland by purchasing agricultural easements to keep land in agricultural use permanently. For the eighth year, the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, with support from Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), is administering the program locally.

As a 2025 certified sponsor, Geauga County has been allocated $106,810. Landowners interested in preserving their farmland can contact Geauga SWCD to discuss eligibility and get assistance with the application process. Applications are open now through Friday, February 28.
