Garrettsville – Kim Kohli and Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home are hosting a FREE community-wide workshop covering Medicaid qualification rules and asset preservation on Thursday June 9th at 6:30 pm.
“This is a topic that is so important to understand. Many families will depend on Medicaid for long term care in the future, but they don’t realize that there are ways in which assets can be preserved…if you plan ahead,” said Trish Danku, Advance Planning Specialist with Carlson Funeral Homes. “This workshop will feature attorney/speaker, Kim Kohli, who will cover common mistakes people make when applying for Medicaid and how we can preserve and protect our assets when planning for Medicaid. I will also be presenting information about pre-paid burial plans, especially as they pertain to Medicaid allowances.”
The workshop will be held on Thursday, June 9th at 6:30 p.m. James A. Garfield Elementary School PDA Room 10235 State Route 88 Garrettsville. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Participants will be able to stay and visit with the seminar speakers, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, and learn how to avoid the most common pitfalls when it comes to Medicaid planning and asset protection.
This is a FREE educational seminar hosted by Kim Kohli and co-sponsored by Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home. If you wish to attend, we ask that community members RSVP to assist us in preparing for refreshments, seating and handouts.
