Kiwanis Announces its 97th Cakewalk

2115

Join us at 2 pm on Saturday, October 28th, for the 97th edition of the beloved Cakewalk event hosted by the Newton Falls Kiwanis, happening right on Broad Street. Before the festivities kick off at approximately 1:45 pm, we’ll be holding an exciting costume contest with participants grouped by age, where creative homemade costumes are highly encouraged. We’ve got fantastic prizes donated by generous local businesses, residents, and groups, including cash and gift certificate rewards for both kids and adults.

For those feeling patriotic, there are special prizes for the most patriotic costumes in both the adult and children’s categories. As we anticipate an exciting atmosphere, the high school band will grace us with a performance, followed by the eagerly awaited cakewalk. Tickets for the cakewalk parade circle arches will be available for purchase, with proceeds contributing to our youth programs. Given ongoing COVID-19 concerns and prioritizing safety, Kiwanis will be sourcing cakes locally from our grocers this year. Any profits made from ticket sales will be directed towards our youth initiatives.

In the event of severe weather posing risks to everyone’s safety, we’ll promptly notify the school and provide updates on their Facebook page. We look forward to seeing you at 1:45 pm on October 28th for a fun-filled day of festivities!
