John Maurie Hebb, 78 of Ravenna, formerly of Windham, Ohio, went home to the Lord on August 16th, 2025. He was born in Elkins, West Virginia to the late Reuben and Edith (Collette) Hebb on November 18th, 1946.
As a youngster, John relocated to Windham, Ohio, where he was raised and resided for most of his adulthood. As he built his family, John worked for the Village of Windham until retirement as Street and Maintenance Dept Superintendent, keeping roads repaired and cleared in the winter. He was also the equipment operator, as well as assisting in Water and Waste-Water Treatment operations until he was able to retire and move to Ravenna with his beautiful wife, Paula.
John was a very avid outdoorsman and very much enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He loved treasure hunting, whether it was panning for gold or searching with the metal detector. He also appreciated the thrill of playing cards, streaks of Poker and never met a scratch off ticket he did not like. He was always great with his hands, building and fabricating anything he put his mind to. Though one of his greatest joys in life was watching his children and grandchildren grow, his love for people extended far beyond the family. No one was a stranger for more than a moment because John would make friends anywhere and EVERYONE loved John.
John will be greatly missed by; his children, Traci Hebb-Vaughn, John (Andrea) Hebb, Cody (Jaime) Hebb, his grandchildren, Tony, Cassie, Ashley, Hailey, Ayden, Brody, Colton, Connor, Legend, Atlas, Dominick, Jordynn, his great grandchildren, Landon, Gavin, Taetum, AJ, Emerson, Maya, Noble, Aryah, Sons-in-law Joe Sgambati and Ronnie Thigpen, as well as many more extended family members and friends.
