Jerry M. Tacy, 85, of Southington, OH, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born July 23, 1939, in Harding, WV, to the late Mack and Lillian (nee Pingley) Tacy.
He was raised in Windham, OH, and was a proud graduate of Windham High School, belonging to the class of 1957. Jerry met his future wife, Judy Shaffer, and then they were married. They made a home in Nelson Twp., until they built their home in Southington. Jerry worked as a machinist in Ravenna, OH, until retirement. He was a fan of the Windham High School basketball team for many years, and loved to watch his team, the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry was a long-time member of the Garrettsville Fraternal of Eagles. He was a quiet person who had a big heart, and above everything, Jerry enjoyed being around his family and friends.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Beverly Ohl; siblings, Roger (Linda) Tacy, Rebecca “Becky” Ridenbaugh, and Laura (Mike) Nadig, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Tacy, and brother-in-law, Edward Ridenbaugh.
