Jeanne Marie Nemeth (nee Fickes) died 12/24/2021, the very day after she celebrated her 95th birthday. Born in Steubenville, OH on 12/23/1926 she was the firstborn of four children of Herbert Gray Fickes & Mary Maud Fickes (nee Holroyd). The family’s children, all deceased, were Jeanne, Elizabeth, Herbert K., and Frank.  She spent most of her growing years in Garrettsville, OH where the family moved shortly after her birth. Jeanne was a widow of Elroy E. Kirchener and adoptive mother of his son, Ralph N. Kirchener (Ann Marie). She was married most recently in 1981 to John Nemeth who passed away in 1989. With an overall 40+ year career, she was employed by GE for 22 years as a bookkeeper / accountant and, earlier, other corporations including Sherwin Williams and the Anchor Rubber Company. She additionally worked part-time until her eighties for the Euclid Public Library. Over the years, she enjoyed reading, sudokus, traveling, playing bridge and mahjong. She was a dear aunt to her four nieces and two nephews. A resident of Euclid, OH, and long-time member of the Lakeshore Disciples of Christ Church, she will be missed by family and friends.  Donations in her memory can be made to the Euclid Public Library Outreach Services or the Lakeshore Disciples of Christ Church.
