The Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Solo and Ensemble competition held on Saturday, February 10th at Barberton High School was a spectacular showcase of musical talent, with dedicated student musicians earning top ratings across every performance. Our student musicians,  soloists and ensembles alike, delivered outstanding performances, and securing top ratings across every performance.

Soloists Shine with Superior Ratings:

The soloists took center stage, each earning a Superior rating for their exceptional performances:

  1. Tuba – Evan Ridenbaugh: Bouree
  2. Clarinet – Landen Gedeon: Mozart Concerto K.622
  3. Bass Clarinet – Landen Gedeon: Deepwood
  4. Baritone Vocal – Marshall Dahlen: Annie Laurie
  5. Tenor Vocal – Jack Carmichael: Wayfaring Stranger
  6. Mezzo Soprano – Emma Scherick: Au bord de leau

Soloists were accompanied by the talented Alissa Mujanovic.

The exceptional teamwork, precision, and musicality displayed by these ensembles underscored the dedication and talent of the students.
