The James A. Garfield Historical Society met on June, 21, 2021 to discuss the following business:

? Financial solvency–treasury in good condition, donation from Thrivent (courtesy of the Bissards)

? Getting help from InterAct kids who are seeking community service hours. They are assisting with filing and general clean-up, as well as entering items in PastPerfect, a documentation system.

? More planning of the Garrettsville History Walk, which will take place on October 2. Advertising and information are being organized.

? The Mott Building will be open during the SummerFest from 12 to 6 o’clock, as well as the first Saturdays of the month, beginning in August.

? A new volunteer is being sought for maintaining the displays in the Bonnet Shoppe windows; Pam Montgomery is retiring after an illustrious career. Cheers to her!!!

? A crew will be painting the picket fence around the pocket garden next to the Mott Building.

? The light bulbs have been changed.

? It’s all good.
