Garrettsville – The James A. Garfield Local Schools, Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard, People Tree, SkyLane Bowling and Garrettsville United Methodist Church are working together to feed Garfield students during the state-mandated school closure. Full details have been announced through the Garfield Schools.

Here’s how to help right now:

Support our mission to “shut the door on hunger” in our district by making a monetary donation.  Your donation dollars go much further with the Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard because of their partnership with the Akron-Canton regional food bank. Every $5 donation received by the NGCC pays for 20 meals for the families in need within our community.

Because of the  state-mandated closures and changes in business operations, NGCC anticipates an increase in the need for food assistance to area families who live paycheck to paycheck.  Any help that you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Donations can be sent to NGCC, PO Box 294, Garrettsville, OH 44231; made on-line through Facebook:@NGCCfoodpantry or PayPal: info@ngccportage.org.
