Irene "Carol" Martin

Irene “Carol” Martin, 64, of Windham, OH, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 15, 2024. She was born January 25, 1960, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Ernest and Irene (nee Powers) Collins.

She married the love of her life, Jack Martin, Sr., then settled in the Garrettsville/Windham area and made a home with her family. Carol was a smiling face at Huntington Bank in Garrettsville, OH, where she worked for over 24 years. Her customers were some of the most important people in her life, aside from her loving family and friends. Carol was a big fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers; her and her husband would watch games regularly. She enjoyed making crafts, and above all, spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. Carol’s love of God, and her church was of the upmost importance in her life. Her courage, strength, and faith were and will forever be an inspiration.

Carol will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Jack Martin, Sr., who was blessed to share over 46 years of marriage; children, Pamela Martin, Jack (Lisa) Martin, Jr., and Justin (Lindsay) Martin; grandchildren, Hope, Faith, Kinsey, Christian Jack, Ella Jean, Olivia, and Addison; mother, Irene Collins; siblings, Craig Collins, Rod (Judy) Collins, Michelle (Charles) Canterbury. 

She was preceded in death by father and brothers, Joseph Collins and Darrell Collins.

Family was joined for a visitation Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service was held at the funeral home Monday, July 22, 2024, with Pastor Kevin Crouch of The Fountain Church of God in Garrettsville, OH, officiating. Carol was then lovingly laid to rest at Park Cemetery, Center St. & Brosius Rd., in Garrettsville, OH. For online condolences go to www.carlsonfuneralhomes.com.
