High School Singers Invited to Audition for Shining Star CLE Singing Competition

1164

High school singers are encouraged to audition for the 8th annual Shining Star CLE 2024. Slated to hit the stage on Sept. 22 at Playhouse Square, the event is an “American Idol” style solo singing competition for teens from 10 Northeast Ohio counties who compete for college scholarships.

High school students from Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties (including homeschooled students) have the chance to compete for $18,500 in college scholarships and perform at Playhouse Square. The popular competition draws big crowds to watch the finalists on stage, offering participants an opportunity to shine in one of the region’s premier cultural venues. Judges, who are accomplished music professionals, choose the top four winners. The live audience will also be a part of the excitement as they join the judges in voting for the winner of Shining Star CLE.

Interested in competing in Shining Star CLE? Submit a three-minute video audition by June 30. All genres of music are welcome. Participation is free. Audition videos will be accepted via shiningstarcle.submittable.com/submit.
