The Garrettsville People Tree program is collecting toy donations to help ensure children in the area have a joyful holiday season. According to the most requested items list, kids are hoping for a variety of gifts, including STEM science kits, LEGOs, and outdoor gear. Popular themes include camping, fishing, unicorns, dinosaurs, and space. Other favorites include model cars, board games, Minecraft, and Barbie dolls.
In addition to toys, there’s a high demand for creative items like craft kits and cheer gear, as well as favorite characters and brands such as Paw Patrol, Bluey, and Harry Potter. Donations of “girl stuff,” “teenage gifts,” and hair accessories are also listed as popular requests.
Donations can be dropped off in designated barrels, which will be emptied periodically. The final pickup for donations is scheduled for Sunday, December 7.
