Gloria L. Brunn, 88, of Ravenna, formerly of Freedom Township, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. She was born March 30, 1933, in Shalersville, Ohio, to the late Guy and Carolyn (nee Sprafka) Brunn.
Ms. Brunn was a 1951 graduate of Freedom High School. She held BS and MEd degrees from Kent State University. From 1956-1984 she was a high school business teacher in Southeast, Hiram, and Ravenna Schools in Portage County, and Perry and Willoughby-Eastlake Schools in Lake County. From 1985-1994 she served as Executive Assistant to the President of Hiram College. Following retirement, Ms. Brunn was a substitute teacher in the Ravenna Schools. Ms. Brunn worshipped at the First Church of God of Ravenna, Ohio and was a member of the Kent State University Alumni Association and of the Ohio and Portage County Retired Teachers Associations.
Survivors include brother, Gene Brunn of Freedom, and sister Diane Dvorak of Fairport Harbor.
Her brothers, Raymond, Daniel, Gary, James, and Mark preceded her in death.
There will be no visitation or service. Care for Ms. Brunn has been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio. Inurnment will be in Drakesburg Cemetery.
