Garrettsville – This Thanksgiving holiday the James A. Garfield Schools have a great deal to be thankful for. Our schools are successful and our students achieve great things because of the support of so many people. It is for this support and these people that we give thanks.
Our community
The support of our community is the foundation of our success. Our businesses are bombarded with requests to support fundraisers through donations and sponsorships, and they come through each and every time. Without the support of our community we would not be the district we have become. We are thankful for the support our community gives our students and staff.
Our volunteers
Parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the most statistically significant factors in academic achievement. We have never been happier to welcome parents into our buildings as we are now that the pandemic is over. Our parents volunteer in classrooms, support our teachers and most importantly are there for their children. We are thankful for the support our parents give our students and our staff.
Our staff
JAG staff is a family of professionals that are committed to one thing….the success of our students. Our bus drivers, secretaries, clerks, cafeteria staff, custodians and maintenance staff work tirelessly to make every aspect of our schools excellent. Our teachers and administrators give it their all each day to make sure every student is motivated and succeeding to their fullest potential. We are thankful for the family atmosphere we have among our staff.
Great Students
Students are at the core of all the work we do. Each decision we make is in the best interest of our students. In return, JAG students show the highest level of respect, sportsmanship and effort in all they do. The bottom line is that we have great students. We are thankful to have the opportunity to serve these students.
