The “Woman of the Year” title was awarded to Dr. Jasmine (Talameh) Luzum this November at the University of Pittsburgh for all of her achievements in medicine.
She graduated in 2002 from J.A. Garfield and was the Valedictorian, continuing her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, graduating six years later Magna Cumme Laude. Jasmine worked as a pharmacist, but went on to continue her education at the University of North Carolina where she earned her second doctorate in research science in the study of “Genetic and Parmacogenetic Associations with Heart Failure Patient Survival” and she published a book in 2013.
She and her husband Matthew reside in Michigan where they both work at the University of Michigan, he as a hospitalist in medicine, she as director of a research lab in cardiology, and they both teach in the medical school.
They are the proud parents of two lovely girls.
Congratulations from parents Alice & Geza Molnar and family & friends.
