Geauga & Portage SWCDs Announce a New Educator Workshop!  Wonders of Watersheds: Soil, Water, Climate

262

For over 20 years, the Portage and Geauga Soil & Water Conservation Districts have offered the Wonders of Watersheds (WOW) workshops as valuable, affordable, and rewarding teacher trainings.  Brand new and just for you, this summer’s workshop will take an in-depth look at soil, water, and climate science and ways to effectively integrate these topics into your classroom.  Join us Monday, June 27th – Wednesday, June 29th for outdoor investigations, hands-on activities, guest speakers, new resources, field exploration, and time to connect and rejuvenate!  Each day will take us on new adventures throughout Geauga and Portage Counties along with a field trip to Old Woman Creek Estuary on Lake Erie.  Open to educators of all grades and disciplines and one or two optional graduate credit hours are available through Ashland University.  For more information visit geaugaswcd.com or contact Gail Prunty at gprunty@geaugaswcd.com or 440-834-1122.  Don’t delay… registration deadline is June 1st!
