GCPL Invites Citizens To Share Their Vision of How New Library Buildings Can Serve The Community

1418

Geauga County – What are your aspirations for your community library? That question will be discussed in conversations in Thompson and Bainbridge in June. These discussions will serve as a critical step in establishing the types of spaces that patrons can look forward to. Whether the need is for more creativity and storytime areas or for private tutoring spaces, GCPL is looking forward to gathering community input and learning what patrons value most in new library space.

Libraries are an important part of a thriving and successful community and Geauga County Public Library is committed to being an excellent resource and partner in furthering the interests of the Geauga County community and its residents. Interested citizens are invited to share their vision of the kind of new buildings they would like in their communities.

“During these conversations, the design professionals from CBLH and Perkins & Will will connect with, listen to and note the activities and resources people want from new library spaces,” said Library Director, Edward Worso. “We are looking forward to learning how we can construct buildings that help people build strong communities. We remain grateful that the county passed a bond issue for capital improvements and new buildings.

Providing updated, comfortable and functional library space is a top priority and we value our citizens’ input.”
