Gay Noland, 84 of Garrettsville passed away peacefully December 28, 2024 at home with her family by her side.
She was born August 16,1940 in Gasaway, WV to the late Arthur & Margaret Sponaugle.
Gay was married to Byron “Tub” Noland for 61 years and resided in Garrettsville their entire lives together.
She worked at James A Garfield Schools as a clerk/aide from 1973 until her retirement of 30 years in 2003.
\Survivors include her son Ed (Lisa) Noland, daughter Debbie Woodrum of Garrettsville, grandchildren Kassie (Dave) VanSteenberg, Ryan (Ally) Noland, Libby (Kyle) Pruitt, and Kailyn Woodrum (Ryan Everett), siblings: brother William Sponaugle and sister Pearl Horner and 2 great grandchildren Hunter and Hudson VanSteenberg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Byron “Tub” and sister Ruth Gowdy. Cremation has taken place and both Byron and Gay will be interred at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville. A celebration of life for both will be held at the Freedom Townhall January 26, 2025 from 1-5pm.
