Garrettsville To Replace Water Main Lines On SR 88

1293

Garrettsville – The Village of Garrettsville’s Board of Public Affairs and Water Department will be replacing water main lines along South Street (State Route 88) beginning in May, 2021, and continuing through November, 2021. The company performing the work, Woodford Excavating, could begin construction as early as Monday, May 17.

During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane and it is highly recommended that drivers choose an alternate route when possible. The project will replace two smaller existing water main lines – one installed in 1907 and the other in the 1970s – with one larger main line.

The South Street water main lines being replaced run from just north of the White Street intersection to the Liberty Street intersection. The project includes connecting all South Street customers within the construction zone to the new water main line, and the village will provide notice to those customers when their water service could be affected.
If you have any questions call the Water Department at 330-527-2080.
