Garrettsville – After months of anticipation, the newest storefront in Garrettsville is finally open for business. In case you haven’t had the opportunity to stop in and check it out yet, the shop custom-blends nutritional drinks purported to boost metabolism, support immunity and gut health, and serve as healthy meal replacements to support active lifestyles. Partners in business and also in life, Paige Mauch and Greg Brown are the proprietors. The pair also operate Ravenna Nutrition.
The shop offers Herbalife products, which include protein shakes for energy or to promote after workout recovery and mega teas for health benefits and to boost metabolism. According to Brown, they use Herbalife products, which are manufactured using pharmaceutical-grade testing to offer the highest-quality ingredients. “They’ve been doing this for 42 years,” Brown noted.
As you can imagine, the shop appeals to athletes, most notably members of the Gmen basketball and track teams, who often visit for pre or post workout drinks. It’s important to note that the Herbalife products offered at Garrettsville Nutrition are NSF Certified for Sport®, which means they’re free of banned substances as defined by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Although athletes comprise a large part of the customer base, Brown encourages people of all ages to stop in for a visit. He noted that the healthy drinks appeal to all ages, with parents often ordering protein infused coffee or tea drinks with nutritional boosts, while their kids enjoy fun flavors and colors of the aloe-enriched beverages. He added that the oldest client he’s served was 82 years old. This customer, who manages type one diabetes, visits to enjoy a healthier version replacement of a standard milkshake.
The shop features lots of fun flavors, with current specials like April Showers (lemon lime, blue raspberry, and pomegranate), Fishbowl (blue raspberry), and a Hakuna Matata (orange and strawberry) flavored mega teas. Shake options include an Easter-inspired menu that includes Dole Whip, Reese’s Egg, and Carrot Cake flavors. A typical order is a two-drink combo that includes tea infused with nutrients with health benefits and metabolism boosters and a protein shake with additional vitamins and nutrients.
