As the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary club sat down to lunch in Cal’s II, Sky Plaza, Garrettsville, their plates were full, literally and figuratively; to wit :
*The club is required–as are other Rotary clubs across the board–to choose a Youth Protection Policy/Officer and develop a plan to conform with the organization’s Youth Volunteer Management System. To further this goal, the next meeting will be held in the offices of McCumbers-Brady Realty to view the on-line class on procedures required and program development. That will be on June 13, 2022, at noon.
*Unfortunately, the scheduled RYLA program to be held at Baldwin-Wallace University this summer may be cancelled , due to low participation sign-ups.
*The bike racks are awaiting the Rotary insignia installation but are ready to be placed around town, ASAP.
*The Reverse Raffle planning meeting will be on Wednesday.
*The Tom Collins loop project is on hold but not gone; more info later.
*SummerFest is rapidly approaching. Will G-H Rotary have an entry in the parade? Usually a popular activity/advertisement–needs personnel.
*President Debra Blake invited all to the OPEN HOUSE for the new Hiram Township Garage & Meeting Center at St. Rte. 82 in Hiram on July 18, 2022 from 2 o’clock until 4 o’clock. The event will feature tours and food and a look at the township’s equipment line-up. Everyone is invited. Residents : here’s where your service starts and your money goes.
*The Cleveland Guardians’ RotaryDay event is coming up on July 13, with lots of activities offered and cooler bags for attendees.
- The first meeting in July will be on July 11, due to the July 4th holiday.
*It’s all good.
