The January 5, 2026 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary was all about going forward, first covering current projects–lockboxes, dictionary distribution. RYLA(Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), gathering in June for which the local group will serve as contributing host, maintenance/ improvement of the Tom Collins Walking Trail, pix & illustrations pertaining to the history of Rotary in Garrettsville-Hiram (and availability of such materials). Specifically, issues dealing with the Centennial Celebration–available venues, cost, time frames, etc.- were under discussion.
An illustrative report on the treasury issues–budgeting, disbursements, accounts– was given and discussed.
The next meeting will be at the Garrettsville Family YMCA exploring the operation of the Nelson, Garrettsville Community Cupboard.
Happy Bucks (which will go to the abovementioned NGCC) came in for a Florida escape, the imminent arrival of a grandbaby, New Year in general, and an excellent performance in basketball.
