The Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary meeting on December 15, 2025 was looking forward to warmer times, specifically the upcoming celebration of one hundred years of Rotary in the community, on June 21, 2026. Final decision on details–location, etc.– will be arriving in January, 2026.
Other business included the following items:
**Rescheduling of the Dictionary Project (originally set for a day of school closing.**Projects for the coming year–one per month, starting with January’s exposition on what the community is doing to address food insecurity– NGCC, Akron–Canton Foodbank, church programs, etc., a “Lunch-n-Learn” format is looking likely.
**The People Tree kids shopping expedition was a great success
**The Chess Club is going swimmingly.
**RYLA–Rotary Youth Leadership Award–will be returning to Hiram College again this year on June 21- 25. G-H Rotary will be assisting in hosting this activity again as well..
Next meeting will be on January 5, 2026.
