But first…. Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary is working to complete their project regarding the mural on the bridge abutment on Windham street. Latest direction is to have art students from J.A,G. revise and update the mural on new boards to be fastened to the concrete surface currently in place; this can be done in-school and over time, safely. Rotary will furnish materials and supplies. Sounds like a plan. Village approval is being sought.
Plans for a Rotary-sponsored chess club are proceeding. A flyer will be going to the Villager as well as to Garfield and Windham schools; RichTeresi has signed on as coach; chess sets will be furnished; background checks for involved adults will be covered by Rotary.
Courtney Townsend will be the featured speaker on September 22nd.
