Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Report

84

The May 19, 2025 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary featured “the usual suspects” and topics, to wit :

More consultation on the drainage issue along the Tom Collins Memorial Rotary Walking Trail at the South Street Park, also the possibility of an entrance marker and a storybook trail along its length.

All members are expected to have taken the district-wide youth protection course on-line.

The Rotary wreath for presentation on Memorial Day…refurbishment or replacement? Location?

Suggestions gleaned at the local community input meeting at The Mill were presented, reviewed, discussed; there were thoughts on financing such projects as historical markers, murals, co-ordination of events across the community, a storybook trail, street lights for crosswalks, a splash pad, other worthy ideas. Placement of benches at the Renaissance Center is on hold until the Rotary plaques can be affixed. Possibility of an official dedication?

Happy Bucks were offered in recognition of a day off, mobility issues, new kitchen cabinets, good weather, family calls, a house sale, a mom’s meds, slow filling of a pool.

It’s all good.
