Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Report

86

The Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary club met on May 12, 2025 to discuss a range of topics.

The patio benches for HopeTownOhio are looking good–invoice, tax status, grant language all entered into the thinking. The village is being consulted about the drainage issue near the Tom Collins Rotary Memorial Walking Trail. All members must have completed the youth protection course before the RYLA event coming up. Membership rolls are being reviewed. There will be a work session on Thursday prepping for the Reverse Raffle in November–updates on duties, assignments, sponsors, etc. The preparations for the community meeting at The Mill will be dealing with local input, centennial planning, the tech set-up, Rotary paraphernalia–a whole range of interests. Who will be the presenter of the Rotary wreath on Memorial Day? Chuck Evans will be asked to do the annual financial review. Calendar items were reviewed.

Happy Bucks came in recognizing the excellent weather, the opening of the new Garfield track on Saturday, a grandson’s progress, a college graduation, a son’s thoughtfulness…and “just because.”
