Garrettsville – On Wednesday, the Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors met to set the 2019 Calendar of Events.

Garrettsville will be going green in March ~ the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will once again happen with lots of corned beef, cabbage, green beer as well as entertainment and family fun! More details to follow!

Better than the ‘Black Friday Sales’ the Annual Garage Sale Weekend will take place May 17th – 19th. This popular event features hundreds of local yard sales and draws thousands of visitors to town to shop for bargains and enjoy local shops and restaurants. Registration will be held from February 1 – May 5. Late registrations will NOT be included on the maps. On-line registration will once again be available at discovergarrettsville.com beginning February 1st.

The summer car cruise season will kick off with the Main Street Cruise on May 25th (rain date May 26). The cruise season will continue with cruises on June 29 (Garfield Plaza); July 27 (Main Street); August 10th Peach Social (GFN Fire Dept); and the final cruise will be on September 7 at Sky Plaza. Get out and ‘Discover Garrettsville’ and the great things we have to offer — take a village located in the heart of the Western Reserve, add a group of motivated business owners, and you have the makings of an amazing promotional campaign. Beginning May 1st and running through August 31st, you will have the opportunity to not only see what Garrettsville has to offer, but get involved and enter our “Discover Garrettsville” contest for a chance to become one of the lucky winners who will receive a Discover Garrettsville prize pack valued at over $200 per drawing!

Moving into the holiday season, chamber will once again welcome Santa to town as the official Clocktower Lighting will take place on November 30th. This will also be Small Business Saturday — so make plans now for some local holiday shopping.
