The Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met on Monday, January 12, to finalize the schedule of community events planned throughout 2026, highlighting another busy year of activities designed to bring residents, visitors, and local businesses together.

Kicking off the year will be  Garrettsville’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, a family-friendly event featuring fun activities for all ages, including  carriage rides. Additional details about the celebration will be announced as planning continues.

One of the first major spring events on the calendar is the Annual Community Garage Sale, scheduled for May 15–17. Registration for participating households will open on March 1, 2026, with a registration fee of $20. The fee includes all advertising and promotional efforts, along with the printing of official garage sale maps, making it easy for shoppers to find participating locations throughout the area.

Car enthusiasts will once again have plenty to look forward to, as Car Cruises, the Chamber’s largest and most popular events, return for the season beginning in late spring. The cruise schedule includes:

* May 23 – Cruise on Main Street

* June 20 – Sky Lanes

* July 17 – Cruise on Main Street

* August 15 – Peach Social Car Cruise at the Garrettsville Fire Station

In addition to the Chamber-sponsored cruises, the  Zach Peterson Memorial Car Show will be held on Labor Day at Nelson Ledges Race Track, an event that continues to draw car enthusiasts from across the region.

Summer festivities will continue with Garrettsville Summerfest, set for June 26–28, as the event celebrates its 20th anniversary. The milestone year is expected to feature the entertainment, activities, and hometown atmosphere that have made Summerfest a long-standing community favorite.

Looking ahead to the fall season, the Chamber will host the Second Annual Oktoberfest. Following the strong success of last year’s inaugural event, organizers are looking to build on the momentum with expanded offerings and even more opportunities for community participation.

Closing out the year, Santa Claus will once again make his way to Garrettsville on Small Business Saturday. This much-loved community tradition ushers in the holiday season with caroling, stories by Mrs. Claus, and a chance for children and families to visit with Santa, all while supporting local businesses.

Additional details regarding event schedules, registration, and volunteer opportunities will be shared as plans are finalized.
