Garrettsville Area Chamber Awards Scholarships

Garrettsville – The Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce honored its Class of 2022 scholarship recipients this past Wednesday during its June meeting. Pictured above (left to right) are Chamber President Laura Esposito, Jon Hundzsa, Principal Kathleen Kisabeth, Superintendent Ted Lysiak and Zoe Turner. (not pictured is Riley LaPorte). Each was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to assist in their continuing education. Congratulations!

During the chamber meeting, Mayor Rick Patrick announced that the May Car Cruise was one of the largest on Main Street with over 160 cars registered for the show. The next cruise will be held on June 18 at Sky Plaza.

Aaron King spoke about Garrettsville Summerfest which will be held on June 24 through 26th. This year’s summerfest shirt is a glow-in-the-dark design reflecting the “Out of this world” theme. Shirts are available at Sky Lanes, Villager Emporium or can be ordered on-line at villagerprinting.com.

Chamber will hold its Business Showcase on Thursday, July 14th on Main Street. This proved to be succesful last year; businesses who are interested in participating should contact chamber secretary Michelle Zivoder at news@weeklyvillager.com or call 330-527-2411.
