The Garden Club of Kent is inviting the public to participate in its annual Horticultural and Photography Show on Saturday, August 17, at the Ode to Joy Center, located at 480 Ravenna Road, Kent/Streetsboro, Ohio. The event is free and open to the public.
Participants are encouraged to bring their best home-grown flowers, potted plants, herbs, vegetables, and plant-themed photographs for display and judging. The show also includes a Youth Division, allowing children who help in the garden to enter youth classes and receive participation ribbons.
Entries will be accepted from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, with judging starting at 11:00 AM. The public can view the displays and attend the awards ceremony from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
To help participants prepare their entries, a free horticultural workshop will be held on Saturday, July 27, at 10:00 AM at the Ode to Joy Center. The workshop will provide tips on how to prepare, display, and successfully present horticultural entries.
