The Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Club met on July 8, 2024, at Cal’s II in Sky Plaza, Garrettsville, to conduct several pieces of business. Final financials for the recent golf outing are still being finalized, with bills paid and sponsorships pending. Paving operations for the TCMRT at the park are scheduled, and signage acknowledging sponsors and contributors will be addressed before the grand opening. The mural project remains a work in progress due to a shortage of artists. The search for artists continues.
The timeline for the next President’s Project, HopeTownOhio, is taking shape, with specifics needed from organizers. Preparations for the Reverse Raffle in November are beginning, including setting a date, finalizing contracts, and organizing procedures and commitments.
Potential changes to other projects were discussed, including the possible retirement of Santa, increased participation from members, and more social gatherings.
Happy Bucks contributions were made in celebration of a 29th anniversary, a biopsy, a sister’s visit, and a weekend off.
