At the April 29, 2024 meeting, new member Renee Walker issued invitations to Garrettsville–Hiram Rotary Club for an Open House at Inn at the Pines on May 23 featuring hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, networking and campus tours. All are welcome.
The principal topics of discussion at the meeting included the meeting on Wednesday for the Golf Outing planning, the Mural Design Contest unveiled in The Villager last week and the Rotary Scholarship entries to be read ASAP to go to the high school. Also discussed was the recent Trash Pick-up and possible changes to this event going forward. The District 6630 Conference, recently concluded, was another topic meeting with general approval–great venue–Cuyahoga Falls–with displays and presentations by exchange students, including our own Sarrah Masters, outgoing Owen Bass, thoughts & explanations of Shelter Boxes, some of the speakers in the 4-Way Speech contest; projects and activities of Rotary clubs at all levels. Scholarships will be awarded at Senior Awards Night on May 13 at 6:30 p.m.
