Rotary Explores HopeTown: Supporting Recovery Through Housing, Employment, and Engagement

Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary hosted Ted St. John at their January 27, 2025 meeting to learn more about the HopeTown project, a recovery ecosystem being organized to provide housing, employment and transportation for individuals on the road to recovery from substance issues.  This assistance may take the form of social enterprises, support operations or technical instruction for the community and non-profits.  A privat auto clinic and co-operation with Stark State as well as internships to support the programs figure into the overall planning to aid in recovery.  Rotarians are wishing to contribute to this worthwhile enterprise through providing equipment, landscaping, general fixing-up and are seeking a list of priorities so that their aid can be most effective and their grants involving  actual hands-on participation; how can they help?  More to come on this, ASAP.

Happy Bucks came in for a son as a consultant, a new gadget online, a mom’s 90th birthday, a coming-up time with a new grandson, a trip to Matt Ryser’s wedding, “just becuz”, Windham winning, pleased with HopeTown progress, services at Middlefield Bank. It’s all good.
