The September 23, 2024 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary covered a broad range of topics, including: permissions are still needed for the mural project, updates on the Opening event for the Tom Collins Rotary Memorial Walking Trail–invites going out, speakers, prizes for attendees, refreshments, acknowledgements of contributors/ sponsors, e.g. Portage DD, unexpected difficulties concerning construction detritus associated with the Windham St. water line project. It will all work out.
In other directions, the Reverse Raffle is rapidly approaching; sponsors and contributors are being contacted, prizes being determined, flyers will be going out.
The People Tree has been contacted about Rotary sponsorship of a family or two for the Christmas Angels; more kids than before will be needing community elves–Rotary is planning to be “elvish”.
The HopeTown Project will be needing tools and/or equipment–waiting for particulars to help out.
