Former Freedom resident Leone Burrows will celebrate her 100th birthday on Feb. 23, 2018. Mrs. Burrows was born in West Virginia, but spent the majority of her life living on Streeter Road in Freedom Township. Mrs. Burrows and her husband raised five children: Bill; Charlie; Denzil; Willard, and Louise They also founded Burrows & Sons Well Drilling, which is still a family-owned business operated by Charlie and his sons.
Mrs. Burrows’ family would like her to receive 100 cards as a special birthday present. Mrs. Burrows family and The Freedom Township Historical Society are asking community members to help out by sending cards to this address:
