Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary–June 24, 2024
The June 24. 2024 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary club was largely spent in reviewing the recent golf outing held at SugarBush Golf Club as a fund-raiser for the recently-begun Tom Collins Memorial Rotary Walking Trail at Garrettsville’s South Street (Bill Phelps) park. The verdict was decidedly favorable, despite the crushing heat and participants were happy to be a part of such a worthwhile, community-positive event.
Swearing-in of the new president, Casey Timmons, will take place on July 1, 2024, with the District 6630 president stepping up to do the honors. The newest presidential project will be focused on HopeTown Ohio, a rehabilitation project which will be operating out of Windham. Other discussion topics were centered on the effort to get an actual artist to do the proposed village mural; still no resolution of this conundrum. Any volunteers ?
