Ravenna – Portage County residents looking to hone their money management skills will have an opportunity to do so at the County’s 2nd Annual Financial Wellness Fair.
The event, which will take place Saturday, April 21st from 8am – 12pm at Maplewood Career Center in Ravenna, is a collaborative effort between the office of County Treasurer Brad Cromes and other local agencies and service providers concerned with giving residents the tools they need to make sound financial choices. Attendees will have access to a slate of half-hour classes taught by area experts on a wide range of financial topics, including budgeting, credit and debt management, buying a home, choosing the right insurance coverages, and more. The event will also feature an expo area where residents can interact with service providers one-on-one to get more personalized information about solutions that might work for them.
Each person who attends the Fair will receive one entry for a pick-a-prize raffle, and an additional raffle entry for each class attended. The event is free and open to the public.
