Families Anonymous of Portage County To Cease Operations

Ravenna – Families Anonymous of Portage County (Ohio) announces the termination of all meetings and activities at the close of the March 11, 2019 meeting.

Despite being successfully in existence for approximately four years, recent attendance has been dwindling. We wishfully hope that our efforts have assisted the parents, spouses, siblings, other relatives, and friends of drug or alcohol addicts reach their goal of serenity and personal well being. Many have passed through our meetings in crisis, seeking personal comfort and support, and our chapter of Families Anonymous is both thankful and proud to have been of service to them.

There are other groups throughout our county offering somewhat different services than ours. These can be found in the Portage County Addiction Resource Guide (www.mental-health-recovery.org), through Townhall II, Family and Community Services, Coleman Professional Services, United Way (call 211), or many churches throughout the county.
Families Anonymous of Portage County wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the numerous organizations that have assisted our efforts through the years, especially Coleman Professional Services, Townhall II, and a number of local newspapers.

We wish all those who have utilized our services continued SERENITY. Remember, none of us can achieve serenity ALONE!
