This fall, there is plenty to do in the Village, as people get out to enjoy the glorious autumn leaves and bright blue skies. On Wednesday, October 25th, Crestwood Schools will be hosting a Career Day. The event takes place from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm at 1088 John Edwards Drive. This event is hosted by Ohio Job & Family Services and the Portage Development Board.

Later that evening, Crestwood Schools will also host a Family Tech Talk. This virtual event begins at 8 pm and covers topics including online gaming and social media insights, managing screen time, and app settings for age-appropriate content. There will also be an opportunity for live questions and answers for parents and caregivers. For more information, contact Dr. David Toth at dtoth@crestwoodschools.org.

Advanced Rehabilitation will be holding their third annual Treats & Trails Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, October 28th. The fun fall event begins at noon, with teams starting their self-guided adventure at the green space next to R44 Butcher. The scavenger hunt spans approximately 3 miles, with teams of up to four people walking or running, solving clues for treats as they travel through the Village of Mantua. The cost is $40 per team of four. For more information or to register, visit www.arha.us or call (330) 274-2797.

Later that evening, join the Mantua Knights of Columbus #3766 for a Halloween-themed Reverse Raffle event. Doors open at 6 pm at Hughes Hall at St. Joseph’s Church. Tickets are $100 per couple, that includes an open bar, dinner, and music. Only 100 tickets will be sold, so make sure to reserve yours soon. The grand prize is $1,000; there will be a prize for the best costume. For more information, reach out to donfleming1625@gmail.com.

And don’t forget that Trick-or-Treat in Mantua will take place on Tuesday October 31st from 6pm-8pm. That same evening, the Mantua Police Department will hold their second annual Halloween Bash in the parking lot in front of the station. The event runs from 5:30 until 8 pm.
